Hazel Technologies Announces New Mango Partnership
CHICAGO, IL - Hazel Technologies is joining forces with Holistic Solutions Global (HSG) as it makes its way further into the tropical fruit category. The partnership expands the use of Hazel Tech® solutions to include exported tropical produce, like mangos.
“Expanding our international footprint is a key future focus,” said Aidan Mouat, CEO at Hazel Technologies. “Hazel® is determined to reduce waste and improve the efficiency of the perishable supply chain not just in the U.S. but across the globe.”
Holistic Solutions Global is a vertically integrated grower, exporter, and marketer of tropical fruits from the Dominican Republic, including the Caribe Farms, Tropicados™, and Sweet Caribe brands, which the company markets across North America, Europe, and Latin America, according to a press release.
In the DR, the most harvested varieties of mangos are the Keitt, Mingolo, and Banilejo—the latter of which originated in the Dominican Republic while the Keitt was introduced. Since 2003, mango production in the country has increased by over 600 percent, opening up the partnership potential between Hazel Technologies and HSG.
“The addition of Hazel Tech to our full line of tropical fruits is just the latest of many steps we have taken at HSG to ensure the highest product quality,” said Harvey Garcia, President of HSG, “Our expectation based on test data is to consistently achieve over 30 percent longer shelf-life with Hazel Techin our supply chain.”
Hazel Technologies’ Hazel Tech solutions and Hazel patent-pending technologies have been tested by many of the country’s top academic research programs, including UC Davis, Cornell University, and Oregon State University, making its new partnership with HSG one to watch in the tropical category.
